Overview
This article shares test scenarios for synchronizing profile photos between Active Directory (AD) and Kerio Connect. One of these scenarios uses the CodeTwo application.
Note: CodeTwo is an application that is installed on Windows Server connected to Kerio Connect using KADE (Kerio Active Directory Extension).

Test Scenario 1: Using Active Directory
Follow these steps to change your profile picture in Active Directory and synchronize it with the Kerio Connect user profile:
- Open Active Directory as an administrator.
- Change the AD user's photo using the in-place buttons on the user list.
- Log into your Kerio Connect web admin interface.
- Navigate to Accounts > Users.
- Select the AD domain in the dropdown list and select the user.
- Switch to the Contact tab.
- Click on Add Photo to select to upload the profile picture file.
- Click OK.
Test Scenario 2: Using CodeTwo Application
Follow these steps to change your profile picture in the Kerio Connect user profile and synchronize it with AD using the CodeTwo application:
- Log into your Kerio Connect web admin interface.
- Navigate to Accounts > Users.
- Select the AD domain in the dropdown list and select the user.
- Switch to the Contact tab and upload the profile picture file.
- Click OK.
- Run the CodeTwo Active Directory Photos application on the Active Directory Controller machine as an administrator.
- Navigate to the updated user in the application and check the user's photo.
