Overview

While trying to install KOFF (Kerio Outlook Connector Offline), the following warning message appears:
error 28102 - unsupported Office version (detected 16.0.11601.20230). Click OK to see the list of Microsoft Outlook versions that are supported

Environment

Windows 10 Pro + Office 2016 Home and Small Bussiness or Office 365

Root Cause

This error could be caused by any of the following reasons:

• If this an upgraded version of outlook installed and there are still some remains of the old version of outlook.
  In this case, the old version of outlook needs to be completely removed.

• If outlook is missing some KB updates from Microsoft.
  In this case, please install KB updates from Microsoft.

• If the KOFF version being installed is different from the Kerio Connect version running in the server.

Resolution

In this instance, a KB update from Microsoft was needed to fix the issue.

Confirmation

The installation of KOFF is executed without any errors.
