Overview
Users may receive a warning 'Kerio Outlook Connector has not been set as the default storage'. Outlook can be unavailable and start only in a Safe Mode. The client PC might be unable to configure Outlook.
After installing Kerio Outlook Connector Offline Edition, you must configure user profiles. Kerio Connect provides a special auto-configuration tool for the set up of the Outlook account. An automatic config tool can help to resolve crash, launch, and Outlook availability issues.
Solution
-
Open the Integration with Windows page in your browser.
-
Click on the Download auto-config tool button to download the auto-configuration profile creator tool, which is specific for each user account.
-
In the Kerio Connect client login page, click on the Integration with Windows link, or click your name in Kerio Connect client and select Integration with Windows.
- Click Download Auto-config tool and enter your username and password.
Note: The contents of the KOC_Profile_Config.cmd file are generated automatically and there is no way to manually change it. However, the value of the
/host
parameter reflects the address where the file was downloaded from, i.e. internal or public IP address of Kerio Connect. -
Run the profile creator tool (.cmd extension). If you're getting Windows Security warning, click More info -> Run Anyway
- Wait till the tool finishes the configuration.
-
Enter the password to confirm the creation of the Microsoft Outlook profile(s) automatically and synchronize your Kerio Connect account to Microsoft Outlook.
Testing
The Kerio profile is shown once the Outlook application is started.
