Overview
This article will show you how to configure a Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) connection in Mozilla ThunderBird. This will then allow you to gain access to your personal and public contacts in Kerio.
Step-by-Step Guide
- Launch ThunderBird. Go to Tools > Address Book.
- Go to File > New > LDAP Directory.
- When presented with the 'Directory Server Properties' box, you will need to use one of the two configurations:
Personal Contacts
Public Contacts
Legend: Base DN = Base Distinguished Name and Bind DN = Bind Distinguished Name
- Save the settings
You should be able to search contacts on ThunderBird.
Note: This procedure will allow you to search the contacts, but it will not download the contacts locally to ThunderBird from the server. The only way to have your contacts locally in ThunderBird would be to manually create the contacts and save them onto your machine.
