Overview
At times, you may encounter the following error when trying to install Kerio Outlook profile (KOFF):
The operating system is not presently configured to run this application.
This error is often caused by issues with Outlook or Microsoft Office. To learn how you can troubleshoot it, follow the process below.
Process
- Hold the Windows Key and press R. Enter
appwiz.cpl
and click OK.
- Locate your Microsoft Office Installation and click Change, then select Repair.
- If it is Office 2013, 365 or 2016, then select the Full Repair or Online Repair option. Wait for the repair to finish; it can take 30 to 50 minutes (depending on your PC resources).
- Once done, reboot your PC and try opening the office application again. You will be asked to re-active Office, use your license/activation details to re-activate.
- Try to install KOFF again.
If Office Outlook is still not working, most probably, there are some significant issues with local Office applications. In this case, follow the steps below:

Reinstall Microsoft Office.
You can uninstall Microsoft Office package on your PC and install a fresh copy on your Windows 10 PC. Reinstalling Microsoft Office can resolve the error. - Run Microsoft Office Diagnostics.
Another way of fixing the error problem is by running Microsoft Office diagnostics. This troubleshooting tool identifies the problem and fixes it to ensure that Microsoft Office is working properly. - Run the program in compatibility mode.
Some applications are not optimized for newer operating systems and cannot adapt, which causes the error message. By running your program in the compatibility mode, the Windows 10 OS will enable the application to run without errors.- On the system where the Office is installed, right-click on the application shortcut and click Properties.
- Navigate to the Compatibility tab.
- Check the box Run this program in compatibility mode for and select an older Windows version to run the program (e.g., Windows XP).
- On the system where the Office is installed, right-click on the application shortcut and click Properties.
- Update your drivers.
Some users confirmed they fixed this problem by updating their drivers. Please try to install the latest driver updates for your GPU, peripherals and other hardware. Restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
