Overview

You can recover the lost, deleted, or migrated data into your Kerio Connect installation. To recover the data, you must have a clean backup that was completed successfully. The data you want to recover must be in the backup you use for the restore process.

This article provides step-by-step instructions on how to recover the Kerio Connect data on Windows.

Process

1. Open the Command Prompt  by going to Start > Run > type cmd > hit Enter.
2. Go to the Kerio Connect installation directory: C:\Program Files\Kerio\MailServer
3. Run the kmsrecover command.
   
   
   • To recover from the last complete backup:
     
     

     kmsrecover E:\backup

   • To recover from a particular backup:
     
     

     kmsrecover E:\backup\F20051009T220008Z.zip

     NOTE: If the parameter contains a space in the directory name, enclose it within quotes: kmsrecover "E:\backup 2"

Confirmation

The kmsrecover command detects the path to the store automatically in the Kerio Connect configuration file and recovers all the items.
