Overview
When a calendar invitation is sent from Microsoft Teams, Kerio Connect does not process the HTML body and the meeting invitations appear in Kerio Connect without the HTML link to the meeting.
Cause
This is caused by malformed HTML being sent by Microsoft Teams. The format of the calendar invitation does not comply with the IETF standard described in RFC 5545
Resolution
Microsoft need to correct the format of calendar invitations sent from MS Teams so that it complies with the standards described above.
This and related issues have already been raised to Microsoft by the user community in their product forums:
- MS Teams invitation shows as plain text asking to join the meeting, instead of hyperlink
- Calendar invite doesn't show the Join Teams Meeting link (teams feedback forum)
- Calendar invite doesn't show the Join Teams Meeting link (answers.microsoft.com)
Further information
The GFI Kerio Connect team are exploring ways of correctly processing these invitations, but we cannot guarantee if or when this functionality will be delivered. The root cause of the issue will be addressed when Microsoft provide a fix for the problem described above.
