Overview
You are running an older installation of Kerio Connect (such as 9.2.4). You observe the following error in the error logs, and you wish to know what it implies:
main.cpp: Cannot start remote admin server: (98) bind() failed
Solution
This particular error is caused by an issue present only on older versions of Kerio Connect, such as 9.2.4. This issue has been fixed in the version 9.3.1 Patch 1.
It is also worth noting that we no longer provide technical support for some older versions, as mentioned in the article End-Of-Support Dates for Older Versions of Kerio Products. You can check the same for your Kerio Connect installation.
Therefore, in order to resolve the error and to continue to benefit from technical support, you should upgrade the server to the latest version. The article Upgrading Kerio Connect to the Latest Version provides detailed information about the upgrade process. It is recommended that you read it carefully and proceed to upgrade your server. Please pay special attention to the section Prerequisites and Considerations for Upgrading, in order to properly prepare for the upgrade.
