Overview
You want to delete the content data of an account from a smartphone remotely i.e. you want to empty the mailbox, remove contacts and remove calendar data. However, you don’t want to compromise other account data and you also want to keep the emails, contacts, and calendar in the Kerio account.
Information
Unfortunately, there is no way to remove just content data from an account remotely without compromising other data or without also deleting the data from the Kerio account.
For removing all data, you can follow the steps in the article - Remotely Wiping the Mobile Devices Using Kerio Connect. However, this will remove all data related to the Kerio Connect account and in some cases will factory-reset the device (depending on the device).
You can also follow the steps below:
- Stop the server
- Navigate to the user’s folder in the server’s directory using the File Explorer
- Delete everything aside from the #Synx folder
- Turn the server back on
- Re-index the user’s account
However, this will delete all of the user’s files and once the device synchronizes with the server, it will delete its local copy as well.
