Overview
You have migrated your mailboxes (eg: to Office 365), and are not able to access Kerio Connect mailboxes anymore. Your software maintenance license has expired, but your product license is still valid. If you try to access mailbox via Webmail, you get error 'Server License Expired'.
You have tried reinstalling your license key, which threw up the error 'License not for this operating system'.
Solution
Since your Software Maintenance has expired, the functionality of Kerio Connect is now limited. This means that users can only access their mailboxes via Webmail and the Kerio Connect Client.
If you are unable to access mailbox via Webmail, one reason could be mismatch in Operating Systems. Please note that the Kerio Connect license key is specific for each OS (Windows, macOS, and Linux).
- Check if the OS which you are using is the same as the OS for which Kerio Connect license key has been provided. You can check the OS of your Kerio Connect license key by navigating to the Admin dashboard on Kerio Connect. If there's a mismatch in the OS, the license key will not work correctly.
- If you want to change the operating system of the license, please following the instructions in Changing the Operating System of Kerio Connect License Key to download and install the fresh
license.key
file.
