Overview
You want to move a folder along with its subfolders from the Public Folders to the Inbox of a user under the same domain in Kerio Connect.
Solution
A public folder and/or its subfolders cannot be moved to a user folder such as Inbox in the Kerio Connect Client/Webmail. You can only move or copy messages contained in the public folder to any other folder. However, as a workaround, you can use Outlook's Move Folder functionality from an account profile setup using your preferred protocol (see Installing Kerio Outlook Connector (KOFF), Configuring Exchange ActiveSync Profile in Outlook, or Configuring IMAP Email Accounts in Outlook.)
Note: To create or edit public folders, the user must have appropriate administrator rights for the public folders assigned.
- In Outlook, right-click on the public folder tree you want to move (in this case it is Test Inbox) and click Move Folder.
- From the pop-up context menu that appears, select Inbox and click OK.
- The public folder along with its subfolders will be moved to Inbox as shown below;
- Log into the Kerio Connect Client, and confirm that the public folder tree has been moved to the Inbox.
Note: Once moved to the user's Inbox, if you want other users within the domain to retain access to the content of the folder, you can make use of Sharing in Kerio Connect to provide the desired access.
