Recovering Data on Mac OS X

Overview

Administrators can recover lost, deleted, or migrated data into the Kerio Connect installation. To recover the data, there should be a clean backup that was completed successfully. The data to recover must be in the backup used for the restore process. The process is covered in this article.

Step-By-Step Guide

1. Go to the Kerio Connect installation directory following the path: 

   /usr/local/kerio/mailserver

2. Run the kmsrecover command.
   
   • If the path to the Kerio Connect installation directory is included in the path variable: 
     

     kmsrecover /Volumes/backup

   • If the path to the Kerio Connect installation directory is not included in the path variable:

     ./kmsrecover /Volumes/backup

Confirmation: The kmsrecover command detects the path to the store automatically in the Kerio Connect configuration file and recovers all items.
