Overview
You would like to save an email locally to a file under a particular folder on your operating system (eg: Windows) from the Kerio Connect Client (KCC) or using Webmail.
Information
- The way to do this from KCC or Webmail is to extract the source of the email as per the Retrieving the '.eml' Source Files for Emails article, save it in a text file, and rename the file's extension to
.eml
.- If this file type is associated with KCC and opened with KCC, it will locate the email in KCC and open it. If the email is deleted from your mailbox, then, it will simply open KCC and do nothing else (i.e., the email from the file is not displayed).
- If this file type is associated with a full email client (like Outlook or Thunderbird), then that client will appropriately open and display the email from the file.
- In case there are multiple emails required to be saved, then, this process is not efficient. The recommended approach in such cases is to use a full email client (eg: Outlook, Thunderbird) to save the mails.
In case the above points don't suffice your requirements, you can submit a feature request for this on our feedback community portal.
