Overview

If you want to remove any IMAP, ActiveSync, CalDAV, or CardDAV account profiles that are configured and synchronized on your iOS device/s, then, the steps for the removal of these profiles are provided here.

 

Solution

Below is some information on the protocols:

• IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) is a standard email protocol that stores email messages on a mail server.
• ActiveSync is a standard client email protocol that lets you synchronize a mobile device with your mail server.
• CalDAV is an Internet standard allowing a client to access scheduling information on a remote server.
• CardDAV is an address book client/server protocol designed to allow users to access and share contact data on a server.

The steps to remove profiles configured with these protocols are:

1. Navigate to Settings > General > Profiles on your iOS device.
   
   
   
   
2. Select the profile.
3. Tap Delete Profile.

Confirmation

2. Verify that the freshly removed profile cannot be found on the list.
