Installing Kerio Open Directory Extension (KODE)

Overview

The Kerio Open Directory Extension (KODE) is installed to integrate Kerio client services with Apple's Open Directory. This article provides the steps in installing the Kerio Open Directory Extension into the Apple Open Directory.

Once the entire integration is complete, the items containing specific Kerio Connect information are added to Open Directory. The user accounts will then be managed in one place — in the Apple Open Directory.

 


 

Solution

  1. Download the Kerio Open Directory Extension from the Kerio Software Archive page. 

    1. Select Kerio Connect from the Select a Product menu.
    2. Choose the applicable version and click on Show Files.
    3. Select and download the appropriate KODE version.

  2. Double-click the .dmg file and run the Kerio Open Directory Extension Installer

  3. Click Continue to begin the installation process.

  4. Click Install to confirm.

  5. Type your MacOS password and click Install Software

  6. Click Close to quit the installation wizard.

  7. Join Open Directory.
