Overview

This article provides information about the compatibility of Kerio Connect and Cyrillic symbols in the email addresses and a solution to fix the issue. When you are trying to send an email with Cyrillic letters in an email address, you get the following error:

Incorrect address
Please fix email address

Solution

Kerio Connect does not support Cyrillic Symbols for email addresses. As a workaround, you can convert these symbols to Punycode using either of the below methods:

• Refer to this Bash guide explaining how to do the conversion step by step. The script can then use the Kerio Connect API to submit the corrected email address.

• The browser alternative is to convert using the Punycode converter website. Punycode is acceptable for the email address, and the email will be processed successfully.
